v1.1 (18 May 2024)
Happy launch week! I'm blown away by your positive reviews (and spicy ones!), feedback, and suggestions. I've already got to work on them - take a look:
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue preventing Gadgeteer’s Upcycle from triggering when disarming a trap. Thanks Oskar!
- Fixed an issue with Big Guns Old Faithful displaying incorrect tooltip information.
- Fixed Heavy Weapons’s Expert (Rifle) Rake ability being on continuous cooldown and clarified tooltip to show the cooldown is based on the number of targets attacked. Thanks Oskar!
- Fixed a bug preventing Barbarian’s Execute from going on cooldown. While entertaining, also insane. Thanks Oskar!
- Fixed an issue with Bullet Farmer’s Gathering Storm passive stating it provided Strength (it actually provides Ranged Power) and the perk activating with no perk point applied. Thanks Oskar!
- Fixed an issue with the Plants vs Mutts event in the Bio Labs preventing the player from leaving if they failed the event and mutagenic energy was below 10. Restarting the event will now restore mutagenic energy to 10. Thanks Kosiarz!
- Thanks Oskar!!!
Changes:
- In the Keybindings menu, mod keys can now be set for action bars 2 & 3 (default to Left Ctrl and Left Alt), if a mod key is not defined for actions bars 2 & 3, their keybinds must be unique. Thanks all who suggested this!
- A new keybind has been added to optionally toggle Freelook on and off. Thanks Teyar!
- When creating a new character, the name entry field will wait until you use the Begin button to check for a naming conflict warn of a save overite. Thanks ArialAria!
- Work continues on the Controller Update - thanks everyone who has provided input on the survey. Oh, you haven't done the survey? Now's your chance!

v1.0 (13 May 2024)
StarCrawlers Chimera v1.0 is live!
What’s new in v1.0? Quite a few things. Primarily:
- The final floors of the Chimera building are unlocked.
- You can now level to 30+ to fully unlock all trees in most build combinations.
- New enemies, weapons, gear, quest rewards, and boss loot across all floors.
- New sassy UI polish and improved menu functionality.
- Achievements are live.
- Dr. Cerberus is waiting for you. Good luck!
Where’s my controller support? It’s on the way! As noted in the Steam forums, it’s an involved process to add controller support to a complex interface that was primarily built around mouse and keyboard input. Adding properly integrated controller support is my top priority for the first systems update.
Where’s ChimeraLinq? The ambient ChimeraLinq system and ChimeraLinq holoslates can be found on all maps. The (optional) interactive element of ChimeraLinq was very thin on content, so I made the decision to temporarily disable it. I know some of you love you internet drama, and I want to do it justice, so ChimeraLinq will make a triumphant return with a new look and more shade-throwing in the first content update.
When is the game coming to Linux and OSX? Now that the PC launch is out and the game is (mostly) stable, I have time to look into the Linux and OSX deployments. I’ll provide updates on these when I have information to share!
Quick Launch Day Fixes & Changes
Fixes: Fixed an issue with dying during Ironmode allowing the Continue button to show on the title screen and causing a lockup. Fixed a typo in the perk for Smuggler’s Flashbang. Ding! sound effect is quieter. We want you to level up, not be blown away. Fixed a display issue in vendor buyback for luxury items. Fixed an issue with Psykonicks Meditation failing to unlock the player after standing. Fixed Quicksave triggering while the Options Menu keybindings is open.
Changes: Uber Doors™ now have a unique map marker when closed. The Randomize Skills button on the Character Creation menu no longer performs a sprite swap, which causes the button to deselect on the Steamdeck.

StarCrawlera Alpha for GOG has arrived!
Latest Patch : Alpha 1.03
Bug fixes, Bullet Farmer & Elementalist are here. Let’s go!
The focus for this patch is Bugs & Stability of new content and changes.
NEW!
- Added Bullet Farmer skill tree to Muscle archetype and Warmachine preset
- Added Elementalist skill tree to Intellect archetype and Mindhacker preset
Key Fixes
- Fixed an issue with player created hazards (mines / fires / etc) persisting between games and causing subsequent save corruption & loading bugs
- Fixed an issue with obstacles blocking a space (chairs / desks / etc) not properly unblocking the space when destroyed
- Fixed an issue with player using stairs and arriving on next floor inside of a mob (very awkward for both characters)
- Fixed an issue where swapping places with a pet could cause it to occupy the same space as the player. Pets may still sometimes occupy the same space as another pet.

Minor Fixes
- Fixed Flashlight and Camera recenter hotkeys triggering during Feedback

- Fixed an issue that could cause tooltips for items with long names to wrap incorrectly
- Fixed an issue with event text that could cause it to appear compressed
- Fixed an issue with some destruction particles (glass shards / plants / etc) persisting and resimulating when their room is hidden / revealed
- Fixed map variants for Security floor that allowed locked doors / enemies in the 1st room after the lobby
- Fixed an issue with some shelves on Security floor that would not trigger attached destructibles (coffee mugs / etc)
- Reduced particle density on toxic gas hazards so you can breathe easier
- Fixed minor decorative glitches in some rooms (Freezers / bathrooms / etc)
Known Issues
- Broken Vendorbot may fail to spawn on Offices floor.
- Quest icons on map do not persist after loading a save.
- Melee guards sometimes enter combat without drawing their weapons.
- UI scaling truncates preset classes on the character creation screen.
- Camera traps may appear to be in range for disarming when they are not actually.

- Pets catching up to player may teleport into occupied spaces.
