Patch 0.8.18EA (24 April 2025)
Hello! Today we released Hotfix 0.8.18EA.
- Fixed a glitch that caused technologies in preproduction to display strangely if you have a large number of available options.
- Fixed a few issues that could cause 5 and 10 year contracts to be unavailable after the upgrade or, conversely, to be available without the upgrade.
- Fixed a bug that could cause softlock on the Surveillance or Protection results popups.
- Fixed an issue that caused freshly generated characters to reuse the same portraits.
- Fixed weird percentage indication on the negotiation screen.
Please see what was fixed in the previous patches below:
- Fixed UI bugs on the list of technologies.
- Fixed a bug that was causing a technology's economy upgrade to not make it cheaper.
- Fixed a few bugs that were causing characters to unreasonably refuse to work with your studio.
- Repair of Services no longer takes away services already issued to employees.
- Some balance tweaks to negotiations.
- Some improvements to Japanese fonts.
- The speed of the animations for production stages windows and the negotiation window is now dynamic: if you use them several times in a short period of time, they speed up significantly.
- Fixed the prisoner achievement.
- Fixed a situation where the game was spamming you with messages after you refused to cooperate with the KKK.
- Fixed an issue where the maintenance department head did not get a new level after completing a technology upgrade.
- A few tweaks to the genre balance.
- Resolved some issues with the save system, which in some situations prevented the game from properly digesting save files when you launch the game after an update.
- You can no longer fire characters whose contract you've already paid for up front (firing them gives the false impression that you're saving something on it, and leads to confusion). In future updates, we're going to add an upgrade that will allow you to fire such characters early and get back some of the cost for the remaining days/films. This way the system will be more clear.
- Fixed a bug where story character portraits were used when generating characters.
- Fixed a bug that could cause some upgrade bonuses to be lost after loading a save.
- Fixed bugs that caused the contract terms of characters who went to war to be counted incorrectly, and also caused those characters to be available for film production.
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash if the contract value for a character exceeded a million dollars.
