We have a ton of great news for you today!
Not only we are ready to reveal the long awaited Roadmap for 2023, but we are also launching a new update for the Game!
Let's dig in, starting with the patchnotes:
New
- You can now... pet your pets!
- Insects are now a part of museum collections!
- We've added a new catalogue menu for the museum. You can check everything you have in there at any time now;
- New item: Pet Ball. You will need one to play with your pets, because you can throw balls to them now!
Changes
- More tourists will arrive for players with the maximum character level: 40 instead of 30;
- Pets now follow the player when he/she is near them;
- Enabled old vehicle control scheme in options.
Fixes**
- Marrying the Captain doesn't disable boat shop shop anymore!
- Fixed small issue with in game Menu Buttons being displayed with a wrong colour;
- Fixed a collision error where players could get stuck in “Land of Ghosts”;
- Fixed wrong input keys showing up in the tutorial for gamepads;
- Fixed an error when dynamite glitched and got stuck in the air.

While April is pretty straightforward and was discussed a lot in the community before, May holds on to a very exciting new thing: Amusement Park! We are going to tell you more about it in the coming days. Just know that it's a big and very exciting new feature!
And in June, we'll release a brand new storyline for the campaign of Spirit of the Island. We've heard your feedback and decided to re-do it completely. Hope you are excited for it! And that's not all: cross-play will also be ready for everyone to enjoy. That means console version as well wink.

Update v1.3.3 (February 24th, 2023)
In this update, we are bringing the long awaited controller revamp. Yes, not a fix, but rather an overhaul of the system as a whole. We'd love to hear your feedback about it, as the system is very new and had some UI changes along with it. Please tell us if it is better what we'd need to tweak.
Other changes: New option to enable or disable tutorial in the Settings Menu; Removed some logs to increase performance of the game; Backpacks in your inventory now stack, just in case of you find more than one.
Fixes Fixed wrong text showing on UI interactions after using a gamepad and going back to keyboard; Fixed wrong game options settings “on” and “off” for gameplay settings; Fixed Milk Jar not being able to produce more than 1 (bucket with milk is now stackable); Fixed Married NPC not receiving birthday gifts and wedding gifts; We believe we fixed the bug with duplicating bags.

Update 1.2.1.2 (21st December 2022)
NEW
- Christmas Decorations: Christmas Tree, Santa, Gnomes, Sleds and a Snowman! You will find them in the Decorations tab of the build menu;
- New Banking System: now you can build a Banking Machine and deposit your coins and earn daily interest (about 1,5%);
- New Pet System: you can build a dog house or a cat cushion (or both!) and get new little friends to join your family! At first they will be little baby pets, but as time passes they'll grow and mature cats and doggos. For now they will roam around your farm and consume some foods, but in later updates we'll add new interactions with them. You can have 2 pets maximum for now.

Update 1.2.0.0 "Marry Me" (15th December 2022)

- Introducing the new Wedding System: now you can marry some of our NPCs!

- We’ve yet again improved the tourist algorithm to make them arrive to your island more consistently. Please tell us if the bug with tourists not coming at all appears again;
- Diary trigger events (like timed quests) should no longer work during an active event (dialogue etc);;

- Vacancy houses will now have their pretty snowy roofs too;
- Tourists won’t get stuck in a perpetual shopping loop now. This happened when you loaded a nighttime saved game;

Hello!
We are glad to present our next major update, which will finalize the game’s main quest, add new treasure, islands and bosses! We’ve prepared a lot of cool things for this month, so let’s dig into the changes!
New
- Main story is finished! You can continue from your saved game,
- We’ve added ten brand new treasures to the game, which brings the total amount to 20!
- New Island: Gray Rocks, a brutal land of pirates and dangerous dungeons;
- New Pirate Enemies: now you can meet power level 2 and 3 Pirates;
- New Cave: The Miner’s Cave. Are you brave enough to explore this dungeon and obtain numerous treasures hidden inside?
- New Items: a new big backpack is now obtainable in one of the caves;
- New Quests: Herbalist, Pub Owner and Artist now have their own quests. Find them on the quest board!
- New Bosses: there are 3 islands with a Pirate Boss each. They will drop important main quest items, so prepare for a fight!
- Please note, that the new mechanic, which will allow you to move buildings will be added next week!

- Ancient stone can now be collected from Pirate and Treasure Chests, when you are exploring. Pirate chests will respawn, like any other nature object.
- New Pirate chests: it will drop random items, including Ancient Stone, Treasure Map Piece and more. It will also give you Exploration XP. They are all over the islands, just go and explore :)
- Witch can now sell items (she can do it during afternoon);
- Mechanic can now sell items (during morning and afternoon, while he is working);
- Fisherman can now sell items (during morning);
- New treasure inside the Buried Cave;
- New map texture in world map (it tells you what map is actually available);
- New Bee Hives in almost every island (not in swamp and not in islands where you only have Palm Trees);

Update (5 April 2022)
We are excited to launch our first major update - Buried Treasures! There's lots of new stuff, so let's tackle the logs!
Added a brand new "Treasure Digging" mechanic. How it works:
- Step 1
- First, you’d need to find pieces of treasure maps. They will be hidden in chests inside caves and some creatures will randomly drop them. After you’ve found enough, you can craft a map by using a Workbench Table, if you have enough levels in Exploration.
Step 2
- You can use the map inside your inventory (just select it and click to use it). Maps are consumed with each use and you can have up to three maps activated at once.
Step 3
- Open your World Map and look for an "X" mark. The treasure will be near the mark. Do not forget to bring a shovel and some other tools, you never know where it could be hidden. Places are completely random, so pay attention to your map to spot the mark!
Step 4
When you find the spot (you will see the "X" mark on the ground), use your shovel and dig there. After a few fine swings, you will see the chest. Interact with it and voila — the treasure is yours!
NOTES
- Treasure maps are special missions. They are available per one game session. Once you use the map, you need to find it during that play session. Otherwise, the treasure will be lost (even if you dug it out already). But don't worry, all treasures can spawn again at some point, so you won’t miss anything.
New
- New Mechanic — Archaeology: find treasure map pieces, craft maps and go dig some treasures out. There are around 15 different treasures in this update, with more to come later;
- New Feature — History House: now you can display your newfound treasures in the History House. When you complete a section, you will receive a unique reward. Later they will serve as a tourist attraction, so it’s time to dig some treasures!
- New islands: Forever Ruins and Green Valley. The first one will have new creatures, so be careful - they are dangerous! And the second one has many fishing spots and the local creatures that pose a problem for the unprepared traveler;
- New dungeon: the first one, it is still a test and we plan to include more locations to explore, loot and surprises. You can find this cave in the new island, "Forever Ruins";
- New soundtrack for each Season on the player’s island;
- Items are now sorted by type in the “all items” window. People with older saves need to either loot items or drop and pick up some for this to work;
- New Combat Bench: you can use it to create weapons;
- New weapons: small sword, long sword, silver sword, golden sword, master sword, fire sword, ice sword, thunder sword. They can be crafted at the Combat Bench;
- New armors: 6 different armors (Leather, Fighter,Explorer, Guard and Ancient Armor), that will help you defend yourself against dangerous creatures;
- New creatures: Dead Hunger, Dark Phantom and Ancient Spider;
- New treasures: there are at least 15 treasures for you to find. We plan to add more in future updates;
- New UI for inventory stats;
- New Health system: players will have more health points with higher levels.

- Players will gain more XP when they discover a new place;

Update 0.17.8 (23 March 2022)
We have a new Update live. Many of those were actually reported or suggested by players. Thank you again for the amazing feedback so far.
News and QoL Improvements
- Tourists will have an icon in mini map now, when they want to buy something. Added button to cancel or accept quest from town board. All quests will appear again at some point. Items in inventory now has a bar for spoilage or resistance. You can delete items from your inventory pressing "Delete".
CHANGES and QoL Improvements
- Changed the worth value of all meals and drinks, based on required items and a new bonus value (which makes the crafted item a fair value).
- Respawn changed from 29 days (everything destroyed) to 20 days.
- Respawn changed from 20 days (everything harvested/collected) to 15 days.
- Changed crafting x10 items to +10 items. Tourists no longer have collision with the player.
- Animals no longer have collision with the player. Game options improved how you change settings (not locked anymore to left or right in settings).
- Items dropped from a storage will now drop on player position.
- Boats costs increased.
- Improved area to collect water from lakes.
- Improved items respawn (both in time and multiplayer performance).
- Improved texts for special item quests. Improved texts for Skills (social mostly).
Fixes
- Fixed water pump not working for both players in multiplayer.
- Fixed wrong cave sound when you go deeper inside.
- Fixed description for Juices on Skill window.
- Fixed problem with all terrains during Winter (some places had dark/black texture when winter starts or game was loaded).
- Fixed exploit where players could get unlimited XP when talking to a few NPCs for the first time.
- Fixed exploit where players could get infinite iron from Fences in town.
- Fixed problems with Social skills (discounts, better prices, etc).
- Fixed bug where players could buy items for a given price and then sell for another (exploit).
- Fixed trade buy/sell item not updating the text.
- Fixed Alina map not disappearing after you finish the quest. For saved games, it will remove the item for you on start.
Spirit of the Island - Update 0.17.4 (18 March 2022)
Hello!
Our very first update is now live!
Multiplayer:
- Improved Chinese servers - this should resolve most of connection problems! Improved multiplayer server region when syncing game files.
Quality of Life
- Players will be 100% less tired, hungry, or thirsty;
- Increased day time: 1 in-game day is around 25 minutes of real-time. We had the day starting at 6 am at was already dark at 7 pm. Now the day will begin at 5 am and will last until 8 pm;
- We've had a lot of feedback about the sleep timer. We agree you should have more active time per day. The aim now is to make it ~18 hours per game day, so we will make tiredness more forgiving;
- Hammer - we heard you loud and clear! When you press "B," the build menu will work. Hammer is only used for fixing stuff now;
- Unloading items from the inventory to the chest was a hurdle, so we've made it better! Now, one button to drop all items inside your chest;
- We will have various balance adjustments to the different items. Some items will cost less now. We will make a list a bit later; Some skills will now be easier to level up, as more actions will grant exp points. We will publish a list later as well.
CHANGES
- All resource gold costs when using a hammer changed (they are more expensive now, the older values were for testing only);
- Game is not paused anymore when using the crafting table.
FIXES
- Fixed bee hives not dropping hive parts;
- Fixed price of all vegetables and some fruits being the same;
- Fixed players spawning on top of each other in multiplayer;
- Fixed crabs dealing very high damage;
- Fixed a bug when items that should not stack were stacking up after crafting them;
- Fixed characters starting with an item on hands, while there was none;
- Fixed the bug with the Workbench (game freezes with the opened crafting window);
- Fixed a bug where players are stuck in the Build or Crafting menus; Players no longer get trapped inside some places if it gets dark;
- Fixed a problem with the backer-exclusive shop;
- Fixed a problem with the backer workstation;
- Fixed disconnect window not showing up again if you reconnected to the same session.
