- Fixed a bug that would display a false warning for courier routes after they have been edited
Update 0.9 (16 March 2021)
Enhanced Tutorial
- Detailed To-Do lists and object highlighting precisely guide players through all tasks
- Every important mechanic will be introduced beforehand by 2-3 column panel instructions
- These instructions are also accessible through the manual
- The tutorial spans from campaign levels 1-4 which have all been revamped
- Level 5 has been changed too, introducing new story elements
- There are new achievements connected to the tutorial (some of which are hidden)
- The campaign introduces 4 new characters, who spice up the story
- Starting from level 4, levels allow the progression through Company Goals and Business Development
- Campaign levels 6-8 will be revamped at a later point - and we will be adding more levels in the future
- Revamped levels, starting with level 5, will contain all features that are available in the Freeplay mode (e.g. Company Policies and features being added to the game later on)
- After completing a level, the back-to-map option will be pointed out to players more clearly
Improved Courier System
-
The Courier System UI and handling has been completely redesigned
-
Courier routes now have a finite amount of item slots
-
Players need to set which items should get transported via a route
-
Via the route settings, players can now set at which pallets couriers should pick up or put down specific items
-
Adding more couriers to a route will no longer increase the range of items that can be transported on a route. All couriers assigned to a route will do whatever has been configured in the route setting
-
The new Courier System will be explained very early, in level 2 (milestones 3 and 4)
More Improvements
- Logistics employees will no longer constantly place items on conveyor belts. They can choose other tasks first until these have been addressed, to a specific degree
- Access to Freeplay mode no longer requires players to finish Campaign levels 1 and 2. - We still highly recommend new players complete the tutorial before because Freeplay does not provide any gameplay explanations.
- We have improved the display of reserved inventory slots for better visual information when other items than the ones reserved have been placed in a slot.
- The behavior of production employees got adapted in regards to reserved slots
- Tables can now be directly copied by holding Ctrl and clicking an existing table. Note, that the set recipe will also be active on the copy.
- All tables of a type now have slight color variations
Bugfixes
- Fixed various bugs in the challenges Module Mania, Smart as a Cup, Money Rush, and Product Frenzy
- Fixed (automatic) logistics issues, which especially occurred in combination with inventory overrides set on tables
- Fixed crash on load when an overhead segment was removed during the game (affected save games will now load without crashing)
- Fixed automatic machines having problems when the module was switched to another one with similar materials
- Fixed issues with special conveyor belt setups
- Fixed loading save games stuck in loading screen with problematic conveyor belt setups
Update 0.7.6 (11 August 2020)
Preferred Storages
-
Crafters, Assembly Tables and Analysis Desks now have an option to be connected to - - Preferred Storages
-
These connections can be set independently for the input and output of said tables
-
In automatic logistics mode, this option will make logistics pick a set storage as the primary solution
-
If a Preferred Storage doesn't have enough space available (e.g. blocked by buying/selling orders, the courier system or other Preferred Storage settings), a warning will be triggered and the storage can’t be selected
-
Changing the crafting recipe on a table can render a Preferred Storage invalid because of new item requirements
-
In this case, the affected setting will be clearly marked
-
Until the problem is solved, the automatic logistics system will provide an alternative connection
-
Preferred Storages do NOT work in manual logistics mode
Courier System Improvements
-
Courier Pallets UI has been streamlined. Courier Rules got moved to the Courier Routes panel and can be accessed from a pallet through a Configure button
-
The UI now only displays the inventory and a list of Item Rules
-
Item Rules can be set to Buy Order, Sell Order, or Logistics Only
-
Sell Order amounts got simplified and are now adjustable in 5% steps
-
Buy Order amounts are automatically set to the maximum amount of available slots
-
Courier Rules for a specific pallet can now be adjusted in the Courier Routes UI
-
Clicking any pallet on a route displays its respective Courier Rules, including input/output settings
-
The player is also able to add new rules through this interface
-
While editing routes, new pallets need to be actively added to a route through a button
[NOTE] In Campaign level 1, milestones 1 and 2 have been slightly adjusted to address the new interface. You may want to revisit this passage in case you want to learn details about how to set Buy and Sell Orders after this patch.
HUD Updates
- Buttons that opened big windows can now be found at the top of the screen
- Hotkeys for those windows have changed:
- Courier System: N -> F5
- Blueprint Designer: B -> F6
- Market: M -> F7
- Research: T -> F8
Notifications are now displayed at the bottom right corner
- Trending balance has been moved directly below the current balance
- Data points overview can now be found in the top right corner, all currencies/points will be placed there from now on.
Improvements
- Various warnings and information tooltips were updated for better readability
- New warnings for the courier were added to make occurring issues on a pallet more obvious
- From now on, a distinct warning will be displayed when switching between manual and automatic logistic mode, informing players about resulting changes in gameplay
- A new toast message system now displays warnings more visible in the world
- Assigning employees and Preferred Inventories now also works with drag and drop
- Crafters, Assembly Tables and Analysis Desks UI are now more consistent
- Rearrangement of elements of the main UI for improved structure and handling
